The view from our hotel room in Pittsburgh. If only we had a room overlooking the downtown skyline instead.

Christmas list

It has been quite difficult getting into the holiday spirit this year. The speed of time feels as if it’s steadily increasing on us. The past 7 days of December have snuck right past me. I didn’t have a Halloween, nearly had a Thanksgiving, and now Christmas is around the corner and I have yet to sing a single carol. It’s just not like me. That was until it finally started snowing. I’ll never be used to the bitter cold, but hot chocolate, snow, and holiday programmed television has proven to work wonders.

Though, I have not started my holiday shopping, I have an idea of what particular individuals on my list would like. As for me, below are a couple of budget friendly items I would love and appreciate that won’t break the bank.

Little monsters.

I spent Thanksgiving break in North Carolina with friends and family. The weather was gorgeous in comparison to New York however, the temperature in New York is currently a lot warmer than it typically is this time of year. And even though I’m extremely happy to be home and reunite with my dog, Mow, I’m already missing those I have left… Including the little monsters (minus the kicking and screaming). Don’t you just want to bite their cheeks? Maybe it’s just a Cambodian thing.
